Awesome Tanks 2 doesn’t fix what wasn’t broken; it just blasts it harder. This arcade-style tank shooter picks up right where its predecessor left off, loading the barrel with 15 explosive new levels, a handful of powerful weapons (hello, flamethrower), and enough upgrades to turn your humble pebble-gun tank into a rolling apocalypse.
The core loop? Move your tank with the arrow keys, aim and shoot with your mouse, defeat enemy tanks, collect coins, and spend them to upgrade your tank with better armor, visibility, and, of course, more boom. It’s so simple it hurts, mostly your enemies.
Each level plays like a low-stakes battlefield, with predictable layouts, generous health packs, and just enough friction to keep your finger hovering over the click. And while the campaign can feel like a warm-up act (especially early on), the real firepower comes from chasing better upgrades and navigating the tougher late-game mobs.
Awesome Tanks 2 isn’t subtle. It’s not deep. But it is a blast. Tap in, shoot stuff, upgrade, repeat. Sometimes that’s all a game needs to be.
