Chinese Checkers

Invented in Germany in 1928 and definitely not Chinese, Chinese Checkers (or Chinese Chequers if you're feeling Victorian) is a classic strategy board game where the aim of the game is simple: get all your marbles from your starting triangle to the destination triangle on the opposite side of the board. But actually doing that? That’s a different game entirely.
Played by two to six players, Chinese Checkers is all about chain-jumping your way across a star-shaped arena without getting stranded mid-hop. Each player selects a colour, occupies one of the six triangle corners, and takes turns moving a marble one space or hopping over adjacent ones, friend or foe, in a straight line. No capture, no luck, just ladders of marbles waiting to be climbed.
The shortest path is rarely the easiest. Strategy means choosing between blocking your opponent, building a marble highway, or praying your last-place piece finds a ladder. Whether you're playing individually or in pairs, the first to race their set across wins.
