Getting Over It isn’t just a climbing game, it’s a spiritual trial by hammer. You play as a shirtless man stuck in a pot, using a sledgehammer to climb an impossible mountain. That’s it. That’s the game. And somehow, it’s unforgettable.
With each swing of the hammer, you’ll climb, jump, pull, and occasionally fly, before slipping on a random object and tumbling all the way back to the start. The mouse is your only control, and the physics are unreasonably precise. What begins as an arcade platformer quickly mutates into a rage game, a speedrun meme, and a philosophical commentary on frustration and perseverance.
The gameplay punishes impatience, mocks your progress, and rewards only the most determined players. There's no checkpoint. No shortcut. Just you, a steep map, and a voice calmly explaining the meaning of failure while you lose an hour of hard work.
But for a certain kind of person, that is the hook.
Getting Over It is a test. One that doesn’t care if you conquer it, but dares you to try.
